Breathlines

Line as a register of breath and duration

Works

About

Breathlines approaches the line as a register of breath and duration. Marks are drawn, brushed, and allowed to fade, holding subtle variations in pressure, speed, and touch. Space operates as an active interval, where gestures appear, disperse, and remain suspended. Influenced by East Asian calligraphy, the line functions as both form and event—a trace of movement and attention. Painting unfolds through attunement rather than accumulation, where breath becomes structure and form remains in flux.
