Marks gathering and dispersing in shifting constellations

About

This group of ink works takes its title from Beethoven’s Appassionata, a sonata of storm and restraint, fire and introspection. Ink bleeds and pools across the surface with similar urgency: furious blacks press against burning reds, while fields of white hold their breath like the sonata’s sudden silences. The compositions unfold through tension and release, echoing the music’s shifting rhythms of intensity and pause.
